Keywords:
Convergence, digital media, participatory mediaAbstract
Young generation is always seen flocked around with the devices like mobiles, laptops and tablets. These devices are not only used as a source of entertainment but they also help to raise ones voice in the society and share what are the person’s reaction about any social or political issue. All these new media devices have changed the concept of media. Today is the era of digital media or citizen journalism. Now every person has the facility to raise their voice in the society and make others aware of what is going around them. With participatory media, the boundaries between audiences and content creators become blurred and often invisible. The blogs and social sites provide the facility to people to share their reaction on different issues. The paper focuses on media convergence and different facilities provided to us by the new media technology.
